Meet Our Team in Pontotoc, MS  MelanieOffice ManagerMelanie is a lifelong resident of Pontotoc and has been married to her husband, Mike, for over three decades. Together, they have three children and six grandchildren who lovingly call her “MeMel.” For much of her career, Melanie worked as a remote medical transcriptionist before transitioning into dentistry in 2016. Today, she serves as our dedicated office manager, where her experience and attention to detail help keep everything running smoothly. In her free time, Melanie enjoys photography, especially capturing sweet moments with her grandbabies and preserving memories with the ones she loves most.  Christy, RDHRegistered Dental HygienistChristy has been caring for patients as a dental hygienist for over three decades and has served alongside the South Main Dental family since 2014. She truly enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. Christy and her husband have three children and a beloved grandson, Rowdy Becks. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys road trips, especially if to the rodeo or a relaxing getaway at the beach.  Melissa, RDHRegistered Dental HygienistMelissa has been a dental hygienist since 2009. She and her husband, Jon, share two energetic boys, Luke and Logan, who keep life busy and full of fun. Their dog, Jet, happily serves as the family’s “third child” and loyal sidekick. Outside the office, Melissa loves camping, spending time in the mountains, and cheering on her oldest son at the baseball field. Family time is at the heart of everything she does.  MegDental AssistantMeg earned her Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts from Itawamba Community College before beginning her career in dentistry. She and her husband share two children, Lyza and JD. A lifelong resident of Pontotoc, Meg values the close-knit community she calls home. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking, and making memories with friends and family. Her happy place is at the beach!  Charlee, RDADental AssistantCharlee is a lifelong resident of Pontotoc and a 2020 graduate of Pontotoc High School. After attending ICC, she completed the Accelerated Academy Dental Assisting Program in Tupelo and began her career in dentistry. Charlee enjoys playing cards, hunting, spending time at the lake, and making memories with her friends and family. Her favorite role, however, is being the “fun aunt” to her adorable niece and nephew.  HannahDental AssistantHannah grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and moved to North Mississippi in 2012. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts from Northeast Mississippi Community College. Hannah especially enjoys building meaningful relationships with her patients and finds great fulfillment in working on dentures and partial dentures. Outside of the office, she loves hiking at Tishomingo State Park, attending Atlanta Braves baseball games, and volunteering at Transformation Garden, a restorative home for women who are survivors of sexual abuse. Serving others brings her joy both professionally and personally.  PeggyClinical AdministratorPeggy began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1995 and now serves as our clinical administrator. She values building strong relationships with patients and considers it a privilege to serve the community through dentistry. She and her husband call Okolona, Mississippi, home. They share a daughter, Sarah Beth, who is Peggy’s greatest joy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and church community.  AngieDental Assistant/Insurance CoordinatorAngie brings decades of experience in the dental field to our practice. She began her career as a dental assistant and now also serves as our insurance coordinator, often being the first friendly smile that greets you when you walk through our doors. Angie is married to her husband, Justin, and together they have three wonderful children and a precious grandson who keeps them smiling. Outside of the office, she cherishes time spent with her girls and enjoys relaxing getaways to the beach and the beautiful Smoky Mountains. |
